May 9, Events Summary If anyone has an idea when/where this month's meeting will be please call everyone. The potluck dinner on May 1st was really fun. Everyone had a chance to meet people's families and enjoy delicious chicken, meatballs, chips, soda, and enough cake to take home with you. Note to Matt: We're stretching your treasurer budget all the way, we saved all the expensive plastic silverware. Then, we presented the charter (they even spelled all the names right!!!) and recieved our new fashionable name badges. Larry did his job as our sanitation worker, vacummed the carpets, and cleaned up all the Doritoes he crushed on the floor. Finally, keep selling those raffle tickets. We hope to earn enough money to jump start our circle. Old News April 18 Today the officers had a meeting discussing a few topics. First of all, it is decided that meetings will be on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. The next one will be May 11, from 5pm-7pm. Secondly dues will $3 a month for a total of $36 ($18 paid in separate parts of the year). If you are attending the next meeting, please bring $18. We tried to figure out what color scheme to use for name badges; for first choice we picked yellow writing on azure (dark) blue, second choice, green writing on a white badge. This decision is not yet final. Other interesting topics: We are selling raffle tickets for $1 each earning 50c profit for our circle. Contact Ed Wyrwas for information about these. If anyone wants to consider being in charge of making a newsletter, contact Mr. Sam. If anyone has input to any of these topics, use email. Upcoming Events: Our circle is now registered and we are officially the "Sons of Peter Circle". Notice that our number is #4492. We will be recieving our charter in a few weeks. Congratuations to all charter squires. March 1st Well, we've finally done it. The new Columbian Squires circle is officially formed. Charter members Greg Zuknick, John Wyrwas, Ed Wyrwas, Larry Laugesen, Carlos Richardson, Jason Meyer, Brien Woods, Matt Boone, Paul Skowronski, Barry Wilkins, and Cullen Thompson are the first to be invested into the the circle. We are sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Archbishop Keough Council #5263. |
